In it I play a dancing dragon, and she choreographed the dance. We worked together on a new Ninja Sex Party music video coming out very soon called Dragonslayer. I'm not solving world hunger or anything but that shit was hard, and the hardest part was not just saying "fuck it" because of how much work it was. I know it sounds silly talking about a dance competition on the internet, but when you're there and you're putting in the hours all day every day it starts to become real. I mean I didn't work with any of the other dancers, but the level of commitment Maxine had and the level of commitment she expected out of me was inspirational. I really couldn't have done it without Maxine.
Psh I would destroy Maxine at DDR I mean no offense to Maxine she's an amazing dancer and a super sweet person and you really couldn't find a more genuine cool chick if you tried, but she sucks at DDR I mean it's just the truth. I need some substance to back up what I'm saying. You can watch the Mega Man X video having never played Mega Man X and still totally get everything I'm saying, but the Castlevania one before it is just kinda like, "yeah okay I've played these games, and that's cool I never thought of that."īut I certainly can't make something out of nothing. The Castlevania Sequelitis was a lot more broad, and its appeal was less about what I was talking about and more about specifically Castlevania. The video was clearly about tutorials, right? Teaching the player through gameplay, and how you can use that to make the rest of the game better. I think what made the Mega Man X episode so well received that I can be responsible for is that I came at it from the get go with a point. You use Act 1 to introduce people and understand what's going on, so that the big gunfight in Act 3 is more than just a big gunfight. You know, you're mentally prepared with all the knowledge to have something happen to you emotionally.
I do think at least in the vein of what you're saying that it's important to kind of establish what you're going for right away, and kind of create expectations so that when big moments like when I'm explaining the Vile fight show up, they're more poignant. at least in a very digestible form, right? that seems like such a harsh malicious concept, you know? I don't think I did much other than point out stuff that wasn't pointed out before. I don't like to think of what I do as manipulation. Yes there will be many more! Next one is about Zelda! I might be around every so often to reply to replies but I gotta study for my Japanese lesson today!! Thanks again you guys are amazing!!! Also seeing like the 5th "are you gunna buy a new couch" question I know I'm hitting the end of the rope. I know once I start hitting the bottom and all my responses start becoming "load more replies" it's time to call it quits. I like introspective questions, but you know, no pressure or anything like that.Īlright guys thank you so much for being a part of this. I'd post a picture but I woke up and havent showered and am in my underwear and still have a breathe-rite TM strip on my face because I snore.Īnyway let's do this. The main reason I'm here is because I won a dance competition called Dance Showdown recently, and they asked me to come on here and make an idiot out of myself. I talk as I play video games on that show.
I also run a show called Game Grumps that I host with many other talented people. I've done industry animation but I prefer working solo. My name's Arin, I make cartoons on a youtube channel called Egoraptor. Hello there you handsome devil and/or pretty lady.
